@Jules - Ah, sorry about that. Really not much to say though - cold, lagery cerveza all the way (see <a href="http://www.blogobeer.com/2008/10/27/bebiendo-cerveza-en-las-islas-canarias/" rel="nofollow">last year's post on the subject</a> as well).

@Daniel - We did the day-trip to La Gomera while we were over there. Quite fabulously dramatic scenery, but as you say, not much beer variety... but then there isn't much more on the larger islands either. The local Netto had a few German, Czech and Spanish pilsners (nothing you wouldn't find in the UK though) and a few bars offered cans of Guinness if we were prepared to stump up E3 (about £2.95) a go, but we demurred.

Also just returned from the Canary Islands (La Gomera for me). I searched high and low for other beers than the usuals, but with no luck.

As you say, Dorada does the trick with the weather. After a week of only that (the bars were all out of Reina) I have had my share of lagers and sun for the rest of the year.

Hope you had a great vacation!
