A month or so ago, I had one of my bright ideas, along the lines of: “Say, wouldn’t it be great if there was a website that aggregated RSS content from beer blogs to make it easier to get a really good overview of what the beerblogosphere is talking about. I wonder if I should try to put one together..?”

And then, typically, I got really, really busy and forgot all about it. Until yesterday, when I discovered that there’s already an RSS aggregator service called Alltop.com that already has a whole section of its site dedicated to beer blogs:

The beer-specific URL in question is beer.alltop.com and on that page they take the latest five posts from a large (and hopefully growing) selection of blogs. This makes life a whole lot easier for me (as now I don’t have to put together the website any more…) and as I seem to have discovered some sort of pool of magic wishes, that brings me to my next cunning plan:

“Say, wouldn’t it be great if a beer retailer got in touch to offer us beer in exchange for advertising their website on Blog o’ Beer..?”

Yes, yes. Hardly original, I know, but worth a try.
