I ended up exchanging very pleasant emails with a Constance and Abbi at US craft brewer Buckbean Brewing Company over the last couple of weeks, after I spotted a tweet from them offering to send samples of their beer out to bloggers.

As it turned out, they were unable to send any of their fruits of their labour over to the UK (something to do with potential problems with HM Customs & Excise) which is a shame, as I was intrigued by the assertions on the Buckbean website (unfortunately it’s a glossy Flash brochure site, so you’ll need to visit and then click the ‘Beers and Recipes’ link) that contrary to popular belief, packaging their brews in cans – as opposed to bottles – has no adverse effect on the beer inside whatsoever; a theory I was interested in putting to the test.

But the offer might still be open to US-based bloggers. If you have a US Zip code and are on Twitter yourself then it’s worth probably dropping @BuckbeanBeer a DM to see if they’re amenable.
