Tasting Notes: Hightgate Fox's Nob

Brewery: Highgate
Location: Walsall, England
ABV: 4.0%
Version: 500ml bottle

Foxes used to frequent the grounds of Highgate Brewery, and so it seemed only appropriate to name a beer after them, or their head anyway, nob being the Old English word for head.

Fox’s Nob pours a dark gold/amber colour, and gives off a very odd aroma – slightly floral and quite fruity, red apples and berries perhaps. The flavour is very much more of that odd fruitiness, not citrus, quite sweetish with what tastes like elderflower in there, although it’s not listed as an ingredient. With a lingering and slightly unpleasant dry finish the whole taste experience was not one I can say I enjoyed so not likely to visit again.

What a wonderfully eclectic site, much like yoursleves by the sounds of it.
    Keep up the good work.
(And I just had to guess at the Spam protection question as I’ve had a few!)
